We have two twin ensuite rooms located in the former Washouse which has been refurbished to a very high standard. Each room has two easy chairs, a writing desk, a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The spacious accommodation allows guests to spread out and to relax. We are classed by Shropshire Tourism as providing 4 star accommodation that is both walker and cyclist friendly. We also like to think you will find us friendly even if you are not a walker or cyclist!
Guests have their own access to the street so they can come and go as they please and there is covered secure storage for cycles and muddy boots! A full breakfast menu is provided in the breakfast room on the ground floor of the Washouse building. Guests can use the same facility should they get a takeaway for their evening meal.
The cost per room per night is £50 for single occupancy and £70 where two guests are staying. We stay open all year including Christmas!
There are so many reasons to come to Much Wenlock. It has a well earned reputation for being an attractive friendly village with interesting shops atmospheric cafés and pubs, a superb selection of restaurants and a weekly market. It is the birthplace of the modern Olympics and it is steeped in history. There are some fantastic buildings including Wenlock Priory which was built in 680 AD and there is even evidence at Wenlock Edge of the areas more distant past as a coral sea. Much Wenlock is ideally located to explore Shropshire with Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Iron Bridge Gorge, Ludlow and Church Stretton only moments away. While those who like a more active challenge can explore the fantastic walks in the area; Much Wenlock is also ideal for cyclists with national and local cycle routes the turn of a peddle away.
